Life Bistrot

Vegetarian since 2005, plant based since 2017

The desire to create a natural and vegetable restaurant in Volterra was born in 2005. The restaurant remains vegetarian until 2015. 2 years of restoration followed. In 2017 the Albergo Diffuso was born, the restaurant is integrated into the hotel offer and the cuisine becomes plant based.

The following years make our vision of food even stronger, more beautiful and more important.

Life Bistrot is a harmonious and sincere place, intact in its values, unique in its atmosphere. Our food is a journey to rediscover the taste and the territory. The products are selected as much as possible from nearby farms, our food is 100% plant based.

Kitchen

Vegetable cuisine

In our kitchen we welcome only vegetable products. The recipes are inspired by the local tradition to which we combine some of our pleasant characteristics.

The products are selected as much as possible from local farms, with whom we share the cultivation works, human and professional stories.

Human chain

Each product has its own history, its own energy, its own biodiversity. Our recipes recount this union, transmitting a true and experiential world, magically recognizable through the perceptions of our senses.

Atmosphere

The terraces

Outside it is possible to eat on 5 pleasant terraces arranged on several levels along the oldest and most important Etruscan road in the city.

The archaeological room

The main hall stands on an archaeological site, with the floor entirely in transparent glass. Inside this room, guests can see perfectly illuminated Etruscan, Roman and medieval finds under their feet.

The cellar

Underground and reserved, our private wine collection rests in this room, with old vintages, particular formats and rare labels.
